F1 - Brazilian GP - Qualifying
Hello MiniFans!
The F1 qualifying at Brazil is over and the drivers are now watching the sky for what will happen tomorrow. Wanna know what happened at Interlagos and who got the pole position? Keep reading!
The rain prediction for today was something important to take care of, and the Mercedes guys were the first drivers to make the time, being of course, the best ones for the session. During the whole session the drivers were looking more at the sky than to the track... specially Button who had so many problems during all his laps being in risk of losing the chance of fighting for Q2. Chequered flag and the drivers who were eliminated were Button, Magnussen, Wehrlein, Ocon, Ericsson and Nasr.
It's Q2 time and we saw that an incident between Palmer and Ocon was going to be investigated by the stewards. The rain prediction is out and again both Mercedes with soft tyres made the best time with Lewis being very strong this weekend, but with Rosberg really close to him. The drivers were having problems with the third sector but the final minutes where a chaos for the drivers improving and trying to reach the top 10. With the chequered flag we had out of the qualifying Bottas, Gutierrez, Massa, Kvyat, Sainz and Palmer.
And now let's go to the last battle of qualifying. Hamilton or Rosberg? The championship is on fire for both drivers and both can win. Lewis made a great qualifying lap, but Rosberg made his lap really close to the one of his teammate.
After going to boxes the battle between Mercedes was really high, Rosberg was improving the first sector but Hamilton was faster at the second. Hamilton finished his lap improving 1 tenth and Rosberg could made his lap again with only 1 tenth of difference.
Pole position for Lewis Hamilton with Nico Rosberg second and Kimi Raikkonen third. The top 10 was completed by Verstappen, Vettel, Ricciardo, Grosjean, Hulkenberg, Perez and Alonso.
Lewis will try to beat his teammate again and keep the championship on fire for the last round at Abu Dhabi, but Nico will try to win and get his first World Championship. What will happen at Interlagos? We'll know very soon, but until then... Be mini-good!
