MotoGP - Valencia GP - Qualifying

The final round of the championship with Valencia GP at Ricardo Tormo. We just saw the qualifying session a few minutes ago. Wanna know who got the last pole position of the season? Keep reading!


First time for KTM for a qualifying session with Mika Kallio. They expected to finish the race tomorrow, so for the new team this is just a small test for next season. Eugene Laverty was the first rider to crash during Q1. Barbera and Petrucci were the fastest riders during the first part of the session. Crutchlow made an awesome lap being 3 tenths faster than Barbera. Bautista who was trying to improve his times crashed and we saw also how Petrucci took the second position but some riders were improving. Chequered flag and Crutchlow and Petrucci were the fastest riders of the session with Barbera, Redding, Miller, Baz, Bradl, Bautista, Laverty, Kallio, Rabat and Hernandez closing the qualifying.

Last pole position battle of the season. Who will start from the first row for the last time this 2016? In 15 minutes we will know the answer. With the riders championship decided, it was time for Yamaha to get the constructor championship. Lorenzo, on his last race with the blue team, made an awesome first lap, being near 4 tenths faster than Marquez. Rossi improved his time and become third. The team battle is on fire. 

Crutchlow crashed on his attempt of fastest lap and he wanted to go as fast as possible to the boxes. Marquez was on his way to beat Lorenzo but on his lap he was just 1 tenth slower than the Yamaha rider. Time was finishing and Aleix crashed on his attempt of lap.

Pole position for Jorge Lorenzo with Marc Marquez 2nd and Valentino Rossi closing the first row of the grid. The rest of the Q1 grid was completed by Viñales, Dovizioso, Pol Espargaró, Iannone, Pedrosa, Aleix, Smith, Crutchlow and Petrucci.

Tomorrow we'll enjoy the last race of the season, but before that we'll have the Formula E Marrakesh ePrix and the F1 Brazil qualifying session. See you Mini fans and remember... Be mini-good!
