Buemi received a penalty after the qualifying and had to start in 7th position. Rosenqvist made a great start, increasing the distance with Bird who was 2nd. The positions in front didn't change so much, but Da Costa made the difference overtaking Frijns.
The actual champion tried to get another good result for the team and was making his own comeback overtaking Abt, but the driver from Audi also lost the position with Nico Prost.
Vergne had a good chance of finishing on podium and overtook Piquet, a few laps later it was Buemi who overtook the brazilian driver of NextEV.
At the back we saw a battle between Da Costa and Di Grassi, but the Amlin driver had problems and let his car stopped at the track causing a yellow flag at the track, while in front Vergne overtook Bird and he was now second. The happiness for the Techeetah driver was broken when the stewards gave him a drive through penalty for overspeeding at the pitlane.
Another driver with problems was Duval who let his car also stopped in the middle of the track. During the last laps Buemi was coming really fast fighting for the victory with Rosenqvist, and the Mahindra driver started to have problems and was losing positions with Buemi and Bird.
Sebastien Buemi won the Marrakesh ePrix with Sam Bird second and Rosenqvist third. The top ten was completed with Prost, Di Grassi, Abt, Turvey, Vergne, Heidfeld and Lopez.
Buemi is now more leader of the championship, but everything is still open... Who can catch the eDams driver? We will know it at the next ePrix but until then... Be mini-good!
