Formula E - Buenos Aires ePrix - Race
After three months of waiting Formula E gave us the medicine that we need for the racing fans. The Buenos Aires ePrix gave us that moment that we were waiting with the third victory of Sebastien Buemi for this Formula E season.
With a clean start, Di Grassi kept the first position, being followed by Vergne and Buemi. The race was full coursed yellow a few moments later because Carroll stopped his car but he could start again when the drivers reached the finish line.
When the race was re-started Vergne attacked Di Grassi, who lost the first position, but also he was overtaken by Buemi. Pechito Lopez who started last, had a comeback race, and after some problems he made a great second part of the race reaching the top 10 and his first point in Formula E.
Prost was also making his comeback reaching the top 5 without problems after overtaking Rosenqvist and Piquet. His teammate, Buemi, overtook Vergne and reached the first position, something that he didn't lose the rest of the race, taking the third victory of the season.
For the battle for the podium Di Grassi was fighting with Turvey, but he was overtaken by Prost. After the pitstop, things were different, because Turvey lost the position with both drivers and also with Piquet, who was almost hit by Di Grassi on a movement that was investigated by the stewards, but was not finished with a penalty.
Heidfeld was being investigated for making his pitstop under the time limit, so he started to overtake drivers as fast as possible, but he had problems and lost positions with most of them.
During the last laps there was a battle between the Faraday Future drivers that finished with Abt between them and D'Ambrosio behind them. Also in front, Vergne started to reach Buemi, but he couldn't attack him. On the final lap Bird crashed where all the drivers crashed during the weekend.
Buemi won the Buenos Aires ePrix and it's the third victory of the season in a row for him. Vergne and Di Grassi finished on podium and top 10 was completed with Prost, Piquet, Duval, Abt, D'Ambrosio and López.
Next race of the season will be in Mexico in April 1st. What will happen at Mexico? We'll know shorty, but for now we have to wait because in a couple of days we're going to see the new F1 cars and the start of both seasons.
